Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Professional Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the baking area, and ensuring customer satisfaction with consistently delicious products. As a professional baker, you will contribute to the success of the dining facility by applying expertise in baking techniques, following recipes, and adhering to food safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake or cook, and serve: Follows pastry production schedule for correct portions, mixing ingredients, proofing dough, and baking to proper doneness at prescribed temperature.
- Quality control: maintain high standards for quality, texture and presentation of baked goods. Conduct regular checks for freshness, taste, and appearance, making adjustments as necessary.
- Operate and maintain equipment: Uses mixers, baking and roasting ovens and fryers as appropriate for production, inspecting equipment before and sanitizing after use, and employing safe operating practices.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other dining facility staff to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and the efficient completion of tasks.
- Proven experience preparing and baking pastry products
- Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
- Knowledge of various baking and cooking procedures and methods
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
- Excellent physical condition and stamina with ability to work in a hot environment, stand for long periods of time and lift heavy bags of ingredients.
- Good hygiene and grooming
