Job Details::
- This role is supporting a major program within Planning & Zoning for application support.
- Stakeholder management skills are critical (Planning & Development background preferred).
- Must have Scrum Master experience.
- Onsite role (8-5 pm schedule with occasional weekend releases).
- Their previous PM stood out because they had fantastic stakeholder management skills and were customer-savvy with a background in software development.
- Accela experience is mandatory (Planning & Development/Public Sector focus).
Skills Requirement:
- Solid understanding of the PMBOK framework and demonstrate the ability to plan and run projects following this methodology, tailoring it suitably as needed
- Lead and manage business application implementations and SDLC projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
- Strong skills and experience in issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables
- Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies
- Mentors and coaches project managers
- Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex IT Programs and Projects
- Experience with the Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid Methodologies
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite and MS Project and JIRA.
- Organizes and leads Agile Scrum Project teams
- Demonstrated skills in release and deployment management, and agile estimation and planning. Ensures that all commitments are met in accordance with project goals/objectives.
- Works closely with product owners, key stakeholders, and the scrum teams to ensure that the solutions identified in the product roadmap are delivered
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, with Executive presence to provide status updates and prepare thorough and polished documentation for Executive level review.
- Manages change, evaluates information and formulates action plans, mitigates risk to minimize schedule delays and costs.
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Ensure sprint releases stay on track
- Strong working knowledge of agile Scrum principles and project management framework.
