Position Overview
We seek a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to join a dynamic surgical team in Rochester NY. This role involves working in a D/E rotating shift schedule, with the possibility of being on-call. On-call responsibilities typically include one weekend of call per month, one day on call per week, and one late shift per week. Responsibilities
- Assist in open heart surgery procedures, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective patient care.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
- NBSTSA certification required at the time of submission.
- Demonstrated cardiac experience is essential.
- Competency in CT surgery is required; thoracic surgery experience is preferred.

Work Schedule
The facility reserves the right to call off up to three shifts for a 13-week contract and two shifts for contracts shorter than 13 weeks. The CVOR Tech is expected to work every other holiday.
