What We Need
As a member of Kymeta’s Product Management team, the successful candidate will be positive, enthusiastic and work well in a diverse cross-functional team environment. As a Technical Product Manager, Market Expansion, you will be responsible for supporting, evolving and growing our market reach and impact. This challenging opportunity involves close interaction with all departments across the organization and our customers. We are seeking a creative problem solver with a passion for driving and delivering meaningful impacts for our customers.
This position is based at our facility in Woodinville, WA and reports to the Sr. Director of Product Operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Support continuous improvement projects that drive new revenue opportunities, save costs and delight the customer. This is done by:
- Collaborating with customers and customer-facing teams to aggregate, track, weight their feedback and factor that into product roadmaps. Be the constant Voice of The Customer to Engineering and Operations on what’s working and the benefits of changes.
- Manage the diverse and competing complexities of the product roadmaps for your products. Work with internal and external stakeholders and resources to optimize ROI of business opportunities.
- Own execution of product changes from concept through, market launch, and end of life.
- Ensure all internal and external communications related to your products stays current with the product's evolution – including but not limited to customer facing technical documentation, spec sheets, white papers, ICDs, RFI responses.
- Manage obsolescence and product changes to support development, supply, and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Travel to customer locations, demonstrations, meetings, training and events is expected (up to 10% travel)
- Develop in-depth understanding of the market, product, service, ecosystem, and use cases.
- Be the evangelist for your products internally and externally.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of technical product management or related engineering (systems, software, electrical, and or hardware) experience for a multi-product software defined hardware platform. Preferably related to a global communications, radar, or microwave technologies.
- Preference for previous military or government service related to SATCOM on the move. Demonstrated knowledge of mobile satcom required with experience working in mobility markets such as unmanned mobility, maritime, automotive, or aviation is desirable.
- A passion for technology, invention, and innovation. Eager to test, demonstrate, and use your products in the real world.
- Demonstrated ability to write concise, actionable, testable product requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of the product lifecycle from concept, through development, launch, support and end of life with knowledge of technology readiness levels (TRL).
- Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain organizations.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to empathize with customer challenges.
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written communication, the willingness to discuss questions or uncertainties in job assignments and to be able to positively interact with co-workers.
- A bias for action with an ability to be flexible and resourceful, with a “figure it out and get it done” mentality.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous or uncertain situations and make good risk-based decisions and methodically manage a variety of competing requirements, needs, and interests in a fast-paced environment.
- Preference for experience with compliance and homologation of global communication products.
EDUCATION
- BA or BS degree or equivalent related experience preferably with a technical or scientific focus.
- Prefer relevant advanced studies or certification
COMPENSATION
Kymeta is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In the spirit of pay transparency, we have determined the salary range for this position to be $110,000 - $170,000. This is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would be atypical, in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and geography. The total compensation package for this position includes an annual target bonus of 10%, stock options, and benefits listed below. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
