This Senior Buyer position is with Kysor-Warren Epta, part of the global Epta Group, located in Columbus, Georgia. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of materials and supplies while maintaining high-quality standards. Join us and contribute to shaping the future of sustainable and innovative commercial refrigeration solutions.
Your contribution:
- Procure raw steel, plastic materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company policies and procurement standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Continuous Improvement team to minimize scrap and optimize steel-related processes.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.
- Analyze purchase requisitions, contracts, and agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials, addressing challenges with urgency.
- Manage procurement records, supplier performance, and lead-time metrics.
- Resolve RMA/RTV issues efficiently, ensuring credit is issued appropriately.
- Submit deviation requests related to delivery, BOM errors, or inventory adjustments.
- Update plant shortage reports weekly and actively work on resolutions.
- Achieve annual goals and objectives as outlined by KPIs.
- A high school diploma and 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- A preferred Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- A certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CPP) is a plus.
