The Barback is responsible for managing inventory, assisting with drink preparation, and maintaining a clean and orderly bar area. Barbacks at KYU play a crucial role in the bar’s operations, working closely with bartenders and other staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold the restaurant’s high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting bartenders with drink preparation and service during peak hours.
- Managing and maintaining bar inventory, including restocking supplies and organizing storage areas.
- Ensuring the bar area is clean, organized, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handling glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment, and ensuring they are clean and in good condition.
- Removing empty bottles, glasses, and trash from the bar area promptly.
- Assisting in setting up and breaking down the bar for service.
- Monitoring inventory levels and reporting needs to the Bar Manager.
- Collaborating with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Providing support in training new bar staff as needed.
