Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated, compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. DSPs provide essential care and support to adults with IDD, assisting them in leading fulfilling, independent lives. This role involves working directly with individuals in both residential and community settings to ensure their well-being, personal development, and inclusion in community activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility support.
- Foster independence by helping individuals develop skills in communication, decision-making, and socialization.
- Follow individual care plans, monitor progress, and communicate updates to the team and program specialist.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
- Advocate for the rights and dignity of individuals with IDD.
- Accurately document care provided, progress notes, and incidents as required.
- Collaborate with team members, including Program Specialists and other DSPs, to ensure comprehensive support.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license, registration, and insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support individuals in leading fulfilling lives.
