Finance Manager - Walpole NH
Job Description:
Responsible for conducting high level business and financial analysis that will assist management in making critical business decisions. Hands on capability to implement short- and long-term strategic initiatives as well as perform day to day tasks in Finance and Accounting. Supervise staff ensuring timely and accurately processing of all expenses, journal entries, and monthly close. CPG and retail experience a plus.
Job Duties:
- Collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information
- Manage monthly close process and implement process to reduce closing time.
- Prepare and present monthly financial package.
- Complete all sales, expense, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and present financial statements to management including P&L and balance sheet.
- Predicting future financial trends
- Oversee the operations of the Finance department, setting goals and objectives for staff.
- Work with C.P.A. firm to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Oversee journal entry preparation as well as account reconciliations.
- Cost accounting experience in setting standard costs for all products.
- Inventory, A/P, A/R and Payroll transactions.
- Compile key business metrics and report on them to management on a monthly basis.
- Prepare return on investments (ROI) for all major capital investments.
- Lead annual budgeting and capital planning process.
- Develop and implement process for product costing.
- Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk
- Create policy and procedures for the accounting department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting; or at least 3-5 years of equivalent experience in a Retail and Manufacturing environment.
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Proficient user of Finance software.
- Experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Expert user of Microsoft Office

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
