THE POSITION :
The Employment Coordinator is a performance-based position tied directly to employment placement and retention of program participants. Related duties include job development with local employers based on the needs of program participants, development of an employment plan, organizing and hosting quarterly job fairs, developing and maintaining a database of employment relationships and outcome data, acting as a liaison between local Worksource, local colleges, and other agencies that provide employment-related services. Candidates with experience in job development with a "sales" mindset are highly encouraged to apply!
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
- Responsible for initiating and maintaining ongoing personal contacts and relationships with a variety of businesses by making cold calls and site visits to employers, collecting job opportunity information, obtaining a minimum of 25 job leads per month
- Collaborates with Employment Matchers to make ideal job matches / job placements, and identify employment needs to ensure programmatic outcomes are met
- Maintains contact with employers during the program participants employment trajectory and report the results to appropriate staff that will offer the job supports needed to achieve long term job retention
- Uses resource tracking systems such as Salesforce / Excel to document each employer's track records of employing program participants, outcomes, trends, and continue to fill vacancies
- Serves as a liaison with various stakeholders and partners; provides networking opportunities between agencies and serve as a member of various committees as requested
- Organizes and hosts quarterly job fairs and employment events that will benefit program participants and help meet housing stability goals
- Provides program information to various businesses and updates information as needed; coordinates business orientations; maintains contact with and assists in researching problems, complaints, or concerns relating to the labor market
- Assists in developing flyers, brochures, and other methods to advertising job fairs, job placement activities, and job opportunities to program participants
