Come join our growing team dedicated to helping small businesses with their advertising media purchases. We plan and buy media for advertisers. Our focus is on local market advertising; Television and Radio stations, Newspapers, and Digital media. Candidates who can think independently, like problem-solving and autonomy, and enjoy working in a close-knit, supportive group, will do well in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Media: Provide administrative support with responsibilities including tasks such as:
- Assist with developing plans and placing media schedules
- Provide "traffic" instructions to the stations on which commercials to air
- Use our media software program (Strata) to:
- Confirm TV schedules are running as ordered
- Maintain schedules, including evaluating and accepting changes
- Check and approve media invoices for payment, resolve discrepancies
- · Organize and send media invoices to clients for payment
- · Verify TV station performance through post buys and pursue makegoods for audience delivery shortfalls
- · Foster and maintain strong relationships with media salespeople
Administrative: You will also be responsible for office administrative tasks like:
- Organize and maintain files, both physical and electronic
- Work with our outside accounting firm to create L.A. Media invoices and pay office bills
- Assist in putting together presentations
Skills Required: You must be good at communicating verbally and in writing. You should be well-organized and detail-oriented. This position requires that you are comfortable working with numbers. Additionally:
- Experience and proficiency with Excel spreadsheets are required.
- Knowledge and experience with a media buying software system are preferred. We use Strata/SBMS and can train in their use as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; degree in advertising or accounting preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in administrative, bookkeeping, or traditional media buying
- Experience at an ad agency, media buying company, T.V. station, or accounting firm is preferred
