Wireless Small Cell Technician -
L&A Utility Solutions is seeking a skilled Wireless Small Cell Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of small cell sites, contributing to the expansion and improvement of the wireless network
- Install, test, and maintain small cell equipment and related infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal performance of small cell sites
- Conduct site surveys and assessments for new small cell installations
- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on existing small cell equipment
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and site conditions
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in electronics or related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in wireless telecommunications or related field
- Proficiency in installing and maintaining small cell equipment
- Strong understanding of wireless network technologies and protocols
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
Preferred Skills
- Experience with 4G LTE and 5G technologies
- Familiarity with RF testing equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation and testing
- Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, Tower Climbing, and First Aid/CPR
