What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Quality Control Specialist position at L B & B ASSOCIATES INC?
LB&B Associates Inc. is currently accepting applications for a full-time, exempt Water Quality Control Specialist to support our contract to provide operations and maintenance services for the General Services Administration at federal buildings and U.S. courthouses in the Virginia area. Position is based out of the Richmond, VA or Norfolk, VA office but is required to travel to facilities throughout the state. Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required.
This is a leadership position that requires hands-on management and quality monitoring of our water testing and flushing processes, and both short- and long-term planning with regard to the written scope of work. The Water Quality Control Specialist is integral to the operation and ability to provide a world class work environment across the facilities. Specifically, the Water Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for the following activities:
• Serve as the primary liaison to our customer on water testing and flushing.
• Quality assurance for in-house and subcontractor performed water testing and flushing activity.
• Provide updates and reports to management and customer as required.
Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of experience performing or overseeing potable water sampling required. ASSE 12080 certification, or certified industrial hygienist certification a plus but not required.
