JOB TITLE: Human Resources
SUPERVISOR: Office Manager
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Representative is an integral member of the Human Resources Team, reporting directly to the Office Manager, and actively collaborates with our managers, supervisors and associates. This position is responsible for proactively developing relationships and executing on all aspects of the human resources function with emphasis in the areas of talent acquisition, training and development, diversity, inclusion and engagement, associate and labor relations, and compliance. The Human Resources Representative will generate innovative solutions that drive processes and programs that help to ensure associates are equipped to achieve exceptional results, while at the same time realizing their professional goals and objectives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Make contributions that reinforce a workplace that mirrors our Employee Value Proposition
Ensure a positive Associate Experience, including Onboarding and New Hire Orientation
Participate in investigations, prepare summaries and make recommendations as directed by the Office Manager
Work with Office Manager and executive team to create and ensure successful completion of individual development plans
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g.,
FMLA, ADA, FCRA, EEO, and FLSA)
Communicate, interpret and consistently apply company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with all Human Resource processes
Oversees adherence to EEOC and affirmative action programs and diversity goals set by the corporation
Process payroll weekly by collecting timesheets and submitting accurate time to third party payroll company
Submitting hours for MSHA & OSHA monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors
Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary
Ability to adhere to workplace rules
Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Must possess broad human resources generalist experience, to include a working knowledge of employment laws, recruitment, benefits, and payroll.
Knowledge of MS Office programs with advanced skills in (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Great interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to juggle multiple priorities.
High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude and the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.
