The Role - Start Nov 11th
The Document Control Specialist provides essential support across teams to ensure smooth and efficient business functions. This role will play a key part in driving the success of our clients’ initiatives and ensuring alignment with their project business goals. Areas of focus include managing task orders, researching scope of work details, mitigating potential project risks, organizing documents, and communicating with project leads.
Responsibilities
· Organize, classify, and maintain all project documentation, including task orders, contracts, reports, and correspondence
· Perform meticulous document cross-comparisons to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
· Conduct thorough research to identify discrepancies between task orders and scopes of work ensuring all
findings are well-documented and actionable
· Investigate discrepancies in documentation and engage with relevant parties to gather essential information to
form a resolution
· Identify opportunities for improving document management processes and implement efficient solutions
· Generate reports and maintain logs for document workflows
· Perform additional standard and non-routine responsibilities associated with role as may be appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
· Proficient in document management software, especially MS Teams, SharePoint and other MS Office Suite
programs
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· A strong passion for reading, document review and cross-comparison
· Thrive in ambiguous situations, comfortably navigating uncertainty while remaining focused on achieving
objectives
· Proactive self-starter with strong multitasking and organization abilities
· Work independently to complete tasks from start to finish with minimal input
· Accountable and reliable in managing and completing tasks and projects
· Open to work beyond regular hours or various shifts as needed
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in related field
· Prior project document control and retention experience
· PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
Hourly Rate: Starting
Status: Part time Contractor / Tuesday - Thursday
Location: Onsite - Greater Los Angeles Area
