Job Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for leading a crew, training on safety and skills, assisting with conducting safety meetings, as well as any other duties as instructed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Leads three or more employees on daily and project work assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead three or more employees on daily and project work assignments
- Coordinate work assignments, job priorities & job planning with the Plant Supervisor
- Train employees on safety and work skills
- Operate all plant equipment
- Organize jobs including parts, materials, equipment, etc.
- Provide employee reminders regarding safety and work rules and inform the supervisor of repeated violations
- Perform maintenance scheduling, and ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Train and instruct others
- Layout work priorities for others
- Perform maintenance scheduling
- Records all services and inspection results
- Reviews blueprints and plant design
- Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's license required
- Knowledge of MSHA rules
Physical Requirements:
- Performing the job’s essential functions requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching;also walking over uneven terrain and climbing ladders
- This position must be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance
- Perform a variety of assigned duties in occasionally highly interruptive conditions.
- Ability to perform assigned job duties under pressure and in adverse working conditions.
- This position must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat.
