L.I. Smith & Associates (LIS) is searching for a Business Development Coordinator to drive business development strategies, maintain client relationships, and contribute to the expansion of our presence in the professional services sector. This position is available at our Nashville office or Paris office with moderate travel required.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, while constantly striving to maintain strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales and client management.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up to date knowledge and understanding of industry trends, conditions, regulatory requirements, and other factors that may influence clients
- Identify new business opportunities and constantly strive to maintain strong relationships with existing clients, working closely with them to understand their needs
- Work with project administrators and project managers to develop proposals (RFPs), sources sought, and Requests for Information (RFIs) in alignment with the client’s requirements and company’s brand standards
- Update and maintain additional qualification and reference materials (including résumés, project write ups, and organizational charts)
- Manage company’s SBE certifications, monitor professional licensures
- Utilize CRM systems to track contracts, manage leads, and generate reports
- Develop and deliver insightful strategies and presentations to the decision makers and business department where appropriate
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build a professional network and identify potential business leads
- Work collaboratively with marketing team in order to build community partnerships and strengthen relationships with outside institutions
- Represent LIS at industry events, career fairs, and other networking occasions as needed
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- B2B sales knowledge or experience is desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and build relationships
- Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
