L.O. Eye Care is seeking a full-time Patient Relations Representative in our Grand Ledge, MI location. Patient Relations Representatives provide key roles in patient satisfaction at L.O. Eye Care. They are the first contact with patients and referring physicians. L.O. Eye Care relies upon Patient Relations Representatives to provide exceptional and responsive service to its customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides key roles in patient satisfaction. This position is the first contact with patients and referring physicians. Functions as information resource, educating patients and answering questions regarding medical authorizations, insurance coverage, and general appointment information. Consults with appropriate staff/supervisors for answers to patient questions that are not known and delivers information in a timely and efficient manner.
SKILLS
01. Customer Service experience required
02. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
03. Type 50 WPM
04. Previous medical office experience desired but not required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Ability to work at a fast pace. 2. Advanced manual dexterity required. 3. Ability to physically assist patients as necessary. 4. Ability to work 90% of day on feet standing and/or walking. 5. Ability to clearly see doctors, staff and patients within clinic proximity. 6. Ability to hear normal volume speech. 7. Ability to document legibly in patient chart. 8. All L.O. Eye Care employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption.
