What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Merchandising Intern (Summer 2025) position at L'Occitane En Provence?
JOB SUMMARY:
L’Occitane is seeking a current student pursing a major in Visual Merchandising or Fashion Merchandising to join us as an intern. The intern will gain general Visual Merchandising knowledge through hands-on experience. The idea candidate must be able to commit up to 28 hours/week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage communications and requests from the field, fulfilling all requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with the monthly campaign development, mocking tables/creating presentations.
- Maintain and organize the locally sourced props and signage inventory, sourcing new props and placing orders as needed.
- Assist in the preparation for new and renovated boutiques, including prop and signage orders and preparation of floor layout packets.
- Maintain office showroom, ordering product as needed.
- All other duties or projects as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Working toward a Bachelor’s degree (rising junior or senior) or Master’s degree
- 0-1 year experience in retail setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a must.
- Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills needed.
- Planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
- Ability to manage deadlines.
- Interest in Beauty and Fashion.
PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work in normal office conditions
- Must be able to work up to 28 hours per week
