The Director, Marketing oversees brand strategy as well as the development & execution of 360 Animation Campaigns for all respective innovation and core in the Eye Category. They additionally act as the strategic marketing lead for various accounts.

Responsibilities
PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVES
- Develops the brand’s strategy for their categories with market & customer analysis (market intel, market NPD sizing, customer feedback, customer shopping behaviors, CRM data) to ensure our fair share of market and retailer needs are met.
- Successfully executes the brand’s sampling strategy and budget across all channels to drive evergreen trial and build activations around key pay-to-play moments.
- Manages the launch alignment timeline with the DMI/development and demand planning highlighting to senior management when potential milestones or alignments have not been met.
- Tracks market and competitive activity (new launches, exposures, reviews, media, etc) and provides regular feedback to the broader Marketing team on trends.
- Works closely with sales and sales administration groups to ensure that the marketing plan is implemented in the field starting with ensuring timely delivery of all elements, getting the order form setup, ongoing collaboration and then soliciting feedback for improvement by way of post-mortem and weekly results tracking.
- Follows competition and communicates market trends on a monthly basis.
- Identifies and evaluates competitive new product launches and promotions and gives short recap at the monthly marketing meeting.
- Spends time in the field at points of distribution and all relevant competitors – online and offline.
- Visits field and occasionally helps to execute events/animations as needed.
- Makes strategic recommendations to develop her/his lines, either through product launches, extensions, reformulations or basic business support.
- Create efficiencies in processes and facilitate the internal process of input and approval of programs.
- Prepares seasonal launch presentations for the field in order to secure door-level sales and merchandising opportunities.
- Develops and empowers Assistant Marketing Manager to ideate, execute and deliver results.
- Salary Range: $127,900– $184,000 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level Competitive Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Pension Plan)
