An established construction company is seeking a detail-oriented and qualified candidate for an Accounts Receivable position. This is an on-site role based in Rocklin, CA, and remote work is not available.

Summary: The Accounts Receivable role is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer payments, managing outstanding balances, and maintaining up-to-date financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and issue accurate invoices for completed projects in a timely manner.
- Reconcile discrepancies between payments received and invoice amounts, ensuring proper resolution.
- Record and apply client payments in QuickBooks, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Monitor aging reports to track overdue invoices and proactively follow up with clients to collect outstanding balances.
- Reconcile credit card statements with company records, investigate discrepancies or unusual charges, and make necessary corrections.
- Review and process overhead expenses, ensuring timely payments and accurate recording in financial records.
- Maintain and record petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Prepare and distribute accounts receivable reports for management review.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all receivables are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project managers, accounting, and finance) to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
- Maintain organized financial records and support audits as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and industry regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience:
- 1 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, invoicing, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with financial information and data.
