Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, including finishing, pouring, and setting concrete for various construction projects. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Concrete Finisher will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes on concrete surfaces, contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Duties
- Prepare and set up construction sites for concrete pouring, including forming and leveling surfaces.
- Operate concrete mixers and other machinery as needed for mixing and pouring concrete.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Perform masonry work as required, including bricklaying and blockwork for structural integrity.
- Assist in renovating existing structures by restoring or replacing concrete elements as necessary.
- Execute flooring installation tasks, ensuring proper alignment and finish quality.
- Engage in trim carpentry tasks related to concrete installations when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored after use.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with operating construction equipment such as concrete mixers is essential.
- Knowledge of masonry techniques and the ability to perform basic welding tasks is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in flooring installation and trim carpentry will be advantageous.
- Ability to work on rooftops or elevated surfaces safely is desirable.
