- As a Superintendent specializing in pipefitting and concrete foundations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects within the oil and gas sector. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, ensuring that all work is performed safely, on time, and within budget. You will coordinate multiple teams, manage schedules, and communicate with project managers to ensure project success
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise teams involved in the installation of piping systems and the construction of concrete foundations for oil and gas projects.
- Ensure all project activities are completed according to schedule, budget, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to develop and implement construction plans.
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource management.
- Monitor work quality and enforce strict adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges to maintain project momentum and mitigate delays.
- Ensure all crew members follow proper safety procedures and conduct regular safety audits on-site.
- Review and approve work orders, daily reports, and quality control documentation.
- Communicate project progress to clients and project managers and address any concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain inventory of materials and equipment, ensuring all resources are available when needed.
- Manage the planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for each project, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the oil and gas construction industry, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
- Extensive knowledge of pipefitting and concrete foundation construction processes and techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large teams, working efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on-site.
- Familiarity with construction codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in the oil and gas industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Valid driver’s license
