Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Desktop Support Analyst to join our team for an 8-12 month contract in Boynton Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will provide both onsite and remote end-user support, addressing technical issues via phone or desk-side assistance. The role requires experience in imaging, troubleshooting, and hardware/software support, with a particular focus on Microsoft Windows 10 to 11 migration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end-users via phone, desk-side assistance, or remote tools for desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
- Perform imaging of new and existing computers, ensuring accurate installation and configuration of required software.
- Lead and support the migration of systems from Microsoft Windows 10 to Windows 11, including planning, deployment, and post-migration support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently through phone or in-person assistance.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of software applications.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation of support activities, including issue resolutions, equipment inventories, and migration procedures.
- Provide guidance and training to end-users on technical best practices and procedures.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of network printers and other peripheral devices.
- Utilize scripting to automate routine tasks and improve support processes (a plus).
- Participate in IT projects as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of the IT environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Experience with imaging software and processes is required.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows 10 to 11 migration projects.
- Excellent phone and in-person troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or VBScript (a significant plus).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality support.
- A certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
