What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Technician position at L2x Talent Solutions?
-Reads quality control manual and testing specifications to obtain data to test or calibrate specific devices.
-Evaluates calibration/repair jobs. Sets controls to regulate factors and activates test or calibration equipment.
-Observes readings and performance of device or instrument to identify functional defects and determine calibration requirements. Adjusts instrument to obtain specified operational performance. Applies seals on calibration mechanism to prevent readjustment of settings and loss of calibration.
-Repairs malfunctioning devices or routes to specified department for resolution
-Prepares calibration certificates and data reports.
-Troubleshoots instrument to component or board level to determine cause of defective operation.
-Processes required service report paperwork, including database maintenance.
-Locates and creates calibration procedures as necessary.
-Assists in developing new product capabilities and standards.
-Self manages repair/calibration workload to insure completion by targeted promise date.
-Works with others on methods of resolving measurement problems and exchanges information with other metrology personnel.
-Adheres to company/customer safety procedures.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals along with writing routine reports and correspondence. -Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Qualifications:
-Associates Degree in Engineering Discipline
-2 years of professional working experience in an electronics/lab based setting
-Ability to read and interpret; blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, etc..
-Ability to follow and utilize; work instructions, standard operating procedures, test plans, etc..
-Ability to troubleshoot, test and repair electronic equipment such as; multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, etc..
-Ability to utilize test equipment such as; multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, etc..
