Job Title : Sr. Specialist, Technical Writer Job Code : 18728 Job Location : Dayton, OH Job Schedule : 1st Shift M-F Job Description : The Sr Specialist, Technical Writer is responsible for creating, developing, planning, writing and editing operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publications. Essential Duties : Researches and translates technical information into manuals and / or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users.Conducts interviews with various users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.Documents engineering processes and specifications.Recommends formats responsive to technical and customer requirements.Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards.Manages complex projects and processes with general oversight.Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.Requires travel to customer sites and Wright-Patterson AFB.Ability to obtain and maintain a TS DoD Clearnace.Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.Qualifications : Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of prior techanical writing experience.Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior technical writing experience.In lieu of a degree, minimum of ten (10) years of prior technical writing experience.Must be a US Citizen.#AH-LI1
