What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Visitor position at La Alianza Hispana?
Provide case assessment counseling to families. This position is available in the “Madres y Niños en Proceso” Program, which provides services to families from the prenatal period to kindergarten focusing on promoting the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.
Duties include: Provide home visits to families 2-3 times a month; Assets families and develop goals with the families; Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate services required to meet families’ need; Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure appropriate prenatal and post-natal period; Work in collaboration with other social service and health and human service agencies for assisting young Latina mothers; Data entry and updates of all the services and screenings; Demonstrate commitment to the agency and program mission. Salary: $49,566/yr.
Some travel in the greater Boston area required.
Minimum requirements include:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalence in social work, social services, or related field, or equivalent• 6 months of experience in a community-based agency with young children and families• Bilingual (Spanish-English) required.
