Position: Server
Reports to: Assistant/General Manager
Job Summary: To serve and cater the customers with a positive attitude and genuine smile all while providing them with an exceptional experience in a fast paced environment.
Job Key Responsibilities
· Deliver exceptional customer service to all patrons, first and foremost.
· Greet customers promptly and courteously.
· Serve customers in a timely manner that meets/exceeds their expectations.
· Make connections and form relationships with patrons.
· Willingness to take on the most effective role
· Attending to customers’ needs
· Guide patrons in selecting La Cabra’s beers, using beer style and flavor knowledge to suggestively sell product based on customer interactions.
· Make food and drink recommendations to customers and answer all menu and service-related questions
· Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout shift
· Set, clean, and clear tables
· Respectfully request identification from any customer purchasing alcohol who appears to be under 40 years of age
· Ensure responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages
· Receive payment from the customer and accurately provide change as necessary
· All LA Cabra employees must be RAMP certified.
· Create a positive and memorable customer experience
· Follow company policy in handling customer allergies/intolerances, ensuring customers receive "safe" meals
· Build friendly rapport with customers and ensure customer satisfaction by checking in regularly
· Anticipate customer needs
· Properly ring in all items served to the customer
· Provide accurate customer check, accept payment, and return exact change or charge slip to complete transaction
· Assist other team members by answering questions, refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables and helping out as needed to aid in the service of customers
· Maintain a spotless and sanitary section, including tables, chairs, surrounding floors, and server station
· Prepare 3rd party and take-out orders
Qualifications
· Reporting to work in a neat and clean uniform; maintaining well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
· State alcohol server license and food handler’s card required
· Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
· Basic reading and writing skills
· Basic computer skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Multi-task oriented
· Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
· Attention to cleanliness and safety
Compensation:
2.83/hr plus tips and incentives
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $2.83 - $3.00 per hour
