If so, you may be the perfect candidate to lead our direct-to-consumer streaming team as we look to build our brand and fanbase both locally and globally.
We are looking for the General Manager of ClipperVision to join our DTLA-based team and lead the growth of this exciting new platform. ClipperVision is the NBA’s first direct-to-consumer streaming service, launched in October 2022, with the full force of the Clippers management, marketing, PR and budget behind it. As the General Manager, you will take the lead on developing and improving the customer experience; designing and executing a growth strategy; and enhancing the product feature set, while innovating and delivering on subscription goals. You should be a people-first leader who is a big thinker, obsessed with continually elevating the ClipperVision brand, able to maneuver and manage easily and gracefully among all levels of stakeholders, strategic partners and LA Clippers VIPs, from NBA developers to Clippers stakeholders to creative and production teams, and to MVPs and celebrities. Most importantly, your job is to ensure that ClipperVision makes a lasting impact across ClipperNation, the NBA, and to basketball fans all over the world.
To be considered, you should exhibit a successful history of focusing on OTT, streaming or subscription products, in particular developing strategies, establishing growth focused roadmaps, with a hands-on approach to identifying opportunities and improvements. The LA Clippers are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the ClipperVision product while collaborating cross functionally with the organization, with thought-leadership across programming, social, platform, content, marketing extensions
- Focus on product’s vision, roadmap, and near-term and longer-term strategy to continuously define and redefine priorities in alignment with business requirements, brand value and audience expectations
- Manage ClipperVision partners, major players, and associated agencies
- Monitor performance and proactively identify course correction and or/new opportunities
- Drive overall growth, execution, and strategy
- Manage budget, KPIs, and production schedules
- Engage with technical teams to discuss use cases, review feature/function requirements and define solutions
- Own overall look, feel and brand experience, to ensure best face forward to ClipperNation and basketball fans at large
- Collaborate with internal marketing department and external agencies on consumer communication (including development of media plans)
- Lead innovation and product development discussions to build out the platform to include integration into the arena technology and at home interaction to increase fandom and brand loyalty
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop channel plans designed to educate, grab market share, and drive performance, including programming decisions
- Work with marketing and other internal partners; lead vendor selection and management of agency relationships
- Identify consumer opportunities across current and existing platforms/ products, and develop thoughtful test plans
Your Background, Skills and Experience
- 10 years digital video, app/product development, OTT/streaming subscription products (prior experience working in sports preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to manage all components of an SVOD streaming experience, from content to platform to product to marketing to ROI
- Exceptional understanding of the direct-to-consumer and streaming landscape
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and production schedules, deliver against KPIs, subscription goals and milestones
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, including partners, C-Suite executives, and ownership, to develop vision for future of ClipperVision including providing industry proof points, and presenting future features and enhancements
- 5 yrs of demonstrated people leadership and proven track record of hiring, coaching & developing world class talent
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and teams
- Proven ability to lead agency relationships to achieve gold standard results
- Track record of delivering results & ability to make strategic choices to maximize impact
- Self-starter with ability to work independently – high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial spirit
- Exceptional communication, prioritization & time management skills
- Breakthrough thinker with a strong pulse on culture and emerging trends

- Must be based in the Los Angeles area
