La Colaborativa is seeking a dynamic Community Organizer to lead impactful projects within our

Responsibilities:
- Foster movement building with a focus on Workers' Rights, Housing, and Immigrant Rights.
- Facilitate the annual membership retreat to identify legislative priorities.
- Establish partnerships with social justice organizations.
- Organize community leaders for briefings, advocacy days, and conduct weekly canvassing.
- Engage community members in creating power maps and understanding timelines for initiatives.
- Collaborate on community information sessions and workshops on civics and policy change.
- Manage logistics and materials for Know Your Rights workshops.
- Coordinate efforts in the leadership development pipeline.
- Initiate yearly rallies, marches, and protests on social-economic injustices.
Relationship Building:
- Maintain close contact with the Organizing Director.
- Provide guidance and support to community leaders on Policy change, Government, and Civics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community leaders and members.
- Build and maintain relationships with legislators, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
Training and Education:
- Create, coordinate, and implement KYR Materials, Logistics, and outreach.
- Develop and maintain power mapping tools of legislative allies and opponents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience (2 years) in grassroots organizing, civic engagement, and management.
- Familiarity with principles, policies, and practices governing housing, anti-displacement, immigrant, workers rights, and/or wage theft preferred.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using management software and databases.
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish required. Additional language skills are advantageous.
