Description
JOB SUMMARY:
To ensure the cleanliness and condition of all hotel linens. This includes washing, drying, folding, hanging, ironing, and storing. Laundry Attendants are responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sort all linens and treat stains
- Load all laundry into washer and add specified cleaning agents
- Take wet, clean items and dry as directed
- Sort and fold or hang clean dried items
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicate needs to manager / director
- Maintaining all laundry equipment and inform facilities manager as to any maintenance needs
- Perform additional laundry services when necessary
- Clean and maintain laundry room areas while keeping up with standards set by management
- Ensure high level of customer service is maintained at all times
- Assist guests with all questions and reasonable requests
- Ensure accurate information is provided to all internal and external customers

- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Visual acuity to inspect and monitor cleaning standards
- Prior experience in a hotel environment preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working extended hours may be required as needed
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use repetitive wrist and finger movement, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Work on a computer for extended periods of time, approximately 8 hours per day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
