Job Description
Are you passionate about fitness and helping others achieve their goals? Join the Y staff team as a Group Fitness Instructor! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to teach a variety of classes including Yoga, Pilates, Barre, Foam Rolling, etc. This is a part-time position working 2-6 hours per week depending on availability. Wage is based on experience and certifications / teacher training. This position is located at the Dahl (La Crosse) and / or Houser (Onalaska) Branch.
Requirements
- Foundational Education (one or more of these) :
- In the process or have completed a Nationally Accredited Yoga Certification
- In the process or have completed a Nationally Accredited Group Exercise Instructor or Personal Trainer Certification
- In the process or have completed Bachelors of Exercise Science (or other exercise-related degree)
- No teaching experience necessary. Willing to mentor the right candidate.
- Experience attending / taking group fitness classes
- CPR, First Aid, AED Certification within 60 days of hire
- Strong communication skills
