Description
Lifeguards at La Crosse Country Club work with other pool staff to maintain the four main facets of pool operation: lifeguarding, pool chemistry, deck supervision, and cleaning and oversight of the locker room. This is a seasonal position, running from May 23, 2024 through September 1, 2024.
Responsibilities
- Supervise open swim, activities, and events to ensure that La Crosse Country Club pool rules and safety guidelines are followed
- Apply the skills of lifeguarding in the case of an emergency, as learned through certifications
- Assist with pool maintenance and locker room cleaning as instructed by management
- Attend mandatory training in-services at LCC Pool every 2-weeks.
Pay Range
Starting wage of $13 per hour, increased based on experience and responsibilities
Requirements
- Lifeguard certification
- At least fifteen years of age
- Flexible work schedule: able to work varying shifts to include holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Willingness to perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Ability to work calmly, efficiently, and professionally in a sometimes busy and stressful recreational setting
