The role of Deputy Medical Examiner Supervisor (DMES) is to respond to death scene calls within La Crosse County, as well as to develop and implement a training program for Deputy Medical Examiners. Response includes observing the scene, interviewing witnesses, and examining evidence to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident. This is a rewarding, fast-paced and challenging role, ideal for a person with a strong sense of compassion, dedication and attention to detail. This role is salaried with an expected 40-hour workweek, typically Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm, the regular office hours. As a supervisor of on-call deputies, there will be the need to respond to an on-call scenarios, and in those cases, the schedule will fluctuate.
Salary Range: $59,001 - $75,862
