La Crosse County District Attorney's Office has a part-time investigative position to work 15-20 hours per week requiring flexibility in the work hours to meet the needs of the job. This is a certified law enforcement officer role, and hired individual will be deputized by the Sheriff. This role investigates complaints regarding criminal activity and exercises independent judgment within their assigned areas of responsibility and within the bounds of departmental guidelines, laws and regulations. This is an ideal role for an officer who has recently left police work and is looking to maintain skills and certification.
As a less-than-half-time position, there are no traditional benefits offered with this role. The hourly wage is $23.67.
