As a team member of La Crosse Distilling Company (LCDC) your job is to fulfill our missions, be part of our visions, and work in support of our philosophy as the Sales Rep/Ambassador. This position is key in developing a competitive market strategy for our craft spirits, identifying key opportunities, nurturing existing accounts, and closing deals. This position covers La Crosse, Winona, Rochester, Minneapolis, St. Paul and surrounding areas. Additional travel may occur to cover things such as trade shows, mixology competitions, panel discussions, and distillery functions in La Crosse, WI.
The position will have an attractive compensation package with a base salary and the opportunity to be incentivized. Success will be measured through favorable reviews and the ability to meet stated objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Build the La Crosse Distilling Company brand by sharing your knowledge and providing education on all of our great spirits
- Create, maintain & grow relationships with bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and grocery stores
- Work closely with our distributor partners and support their efforts and leverage it to increase sales
- Work trade shows and participate in panel discussions, mixology competitions, etc. as a representative/spokesperson for La Crosse Distilling Company and it’s brand
- Network and gain the trust of potential customers and partners
- Aid in organizing marketing events
- Analyze sales and marketing data for current trends and additional opportunities
- Maintain a healthy and productive line of rapport with management and ownership
- Respond to the owners’ requests promptly with absolute transparency, accuracy, and quality of advice and information
Other Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with alcoholic beverage production techniques (distillery, brewery, winery, etc.)
- Sales and marketing background
- A passion for craft spirits and mixology; proficient craft cocktail mixologist experience is highly preferred
- Ability and willingness to work independently, including weekends for tastings & special events
- Outstanding communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Engaging, outgoing, and an approachable personality
- Ability to travel
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales management, communication, or relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Previous work experience as a Brand Ambassador, Promoter, Influencer or another similar role
- Background in spirits sales with an emphasis on mixology
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Requirements
- Ability to tolerate standing for long periods of time and work long hours when applicable
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry items/boxes up and down stairs
