What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at LA Design and Construction?
Growing General Construction company with about $12MM in annual sales, Multiple Rental Properties, and an Insurance Remediation Company seeking an experienced financial controller with the following abilities:
-Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Processes, Reporting, and Budgeting
-Ability to audit completed projects based on QB verified expenses and income to calculate profitability.
-Experience with completing Certified Payroll
-Record and track expenses on a job activity basis in QuickBooks.
-Utilize Accounts Payable approval system to maintain terms with all vendors accordingly.
-Perform daily administrative and office tasks – email maintenance, filing, related to accounting and financial responsibilities.
-Monitor operating accounts and perform bank reconciliations on monthly basis.
-Work with accountant to provide all necessary documents for 1099 filing, and year end financials.
-Develop strategic plans that support the health of the business and identify financial issues.
-Prepare budgets, collect financial data, develop reports, and perform project audits as necessary.
-Perform overhead calculations and control overhead costs.
-Oversee all financial and accounting activities.
-Provide cashflow statements, financial reports, updates on strategic plans, and other reports on a quarterly basis.

Education Req:
-Bachelors Required or equivalent certification
Experience:
-In depth knowledge of QuickBooks Online
-Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets, Smart Sheets
-Bookkeeping: 5 years Minimum
