Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring accuracy in guest information.
- Handle reservations and inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with excellent phone etiquette.
- Process payments using a cash register and POS system accurately.
- Assist guests with questions regarding services, amenities, and local attractions.
- Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is clean and organized at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and enhance their experience.
- Conduct product demos when necessary to promote hotel services or amenities.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail sales transactions.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or similar environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Proficiency in using POS systems; experience with cash registers is beneficial.
- A team player who can adapt to changing situations and guest needs.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
