La Foret Conference & Retreat Center is now accepting applications for part-time retreat workers in the Hospitality department. Interviews will begin in April. The hours vary weekly, 0-30 hours. Job duties included are working in the Dining Hall helping to prepare, serve and clean up after meals for up to 180 people. Working with a team to clean entire cabins/meeting spaces, setting up tables/chairs and thorough deep cleaning. The facility consists of ten cabins, two historic buildings, a dining hall, multiple meeting halls, office, chapel, shop and two residences on 431 acres in the Black Forest. General Function
Employees in the position of Retreat Worker shall be responsible for interpreting La Foret’s mission through hospitality, food service and guest service set-up. This is a non-exempt, part time staff position.

Areas of Responsibility
The Retreat Worker may have responsibility for the following:
Food Service Support
- Assist in meal preparation and set-up as requested
- Assist in unloading, moving and storing supplies
- Perform dining hall set-up, dish washing and cleaning functions
- Other duties as assigned
Housekeeping Support
- Provide assistance in the areas of housekeeping and supply inventory
- Participate in set-up and servicing of lodging areas, meeting spaces and equipment for group use
- Provide assistance with Building and Grounds tasks such as wood splitting, mowing, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

This position has an impact on the overall effectiveness with which La Foret provides its mission to its constituents and the community. The Retreat Worker is expected to help provide a safe and pleasing environment with the highest level of hospitality and customer service. This person is responsible for performing work with normal attention and alertness with periods of concentration. The effectiveness of this position shall be measured annually by the successful fulfillment of the stated areas of responsibility.
Essential Functions
