Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet the company’s procurement needs.
- Maintain positive relationships with existing suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Purchasing:
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and budgets.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Inventory and Logistics:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays or discrepancies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Generate procurement reports to analyze spending trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Compliance:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
- Address and resolve any supplier non-compliance issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services necessary for production and operational needs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier contracts.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to monitor inventory control and production planning.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by managing online procurement processes and vendor relationships.
- Utilize SAP and other systems for tracking orders, managing inventory, and reporting on procurement activities.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory status for management review.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management or procurement is preferred.
- Familiarity with production planning processes and inventory control methods.
- Proficiency in using MRP systems; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms related to procurement is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and procurement metrics.
