LMRV is currently hiring for a Parts Department Counterperson for our growing team. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service abilities, strong phone skills, reliable, and is highly organized.
SUMMARY: Perform all aspects related to parts sales, ordering, updating, and follow through.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide high level of service to internal and external customers. Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Use current dealer management system, and be able to find and use the parts tools provided.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Return phone calls, emails, and texts promptly.
- Review estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
- Pull and fill orders from stock. Follow up on back-ordered parts and replenish fast moving parts inventory daily.
- Notify the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have delays, progress, or have been received.
- Fill out proper paperwork and communicate if a part is borrowed from a stock unit.
- Call manufacturers and place orders for parts, write SPO's for order and attach copy to RO for customer/service.
- Issue credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
- Retrieve and document warranty parts.
- Keep orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special-order parts
REQUIREMENTS:
- Pre-employment screenings including background and drug test
- Retail/Parts/Customer service experience required.
- Prior RV/automotive parts experience a plus
