Job Overview
LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. Duties
- High volume processing and reviewing of invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Utilize accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in payroll processing and benefits administration as needed.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Requirements
- Proven experience in high volumen accounts payable, preferably in property management or hospitality.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
