Essential Job Functions:
· Respond to guest requests in a prompt and courteous manner
· At beginning of workday, ensure housekeeping cart is stocked with supplies, linens and review room cleaning assignments
· Displaying pride in work, clean guest room move-outs and stay-overs to include change bed linens and make beds, replace towels, clean bathrooms, remove trash, clean appliances, and living room area achieving 100% accuracy on room cleans with no deficiencies or requirement to reclean the room
· Perform additional required cleaning if an animal has been in the room.
· Perform floor care duties such as vacuuming, sweeping and mopping in guest rooms and hallways
· Report any needed room items for repairs or maintenance to Maintenance Technician
· Properly tag any items left by guests in accordance with the lost and found policy and turn into management
· At end of day, replenish housekeeping cart and place in assigned area
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
· Experience: 1 or more years of experience in housekeeping with hotels.
· Knowledge: General understanding of common housekeeping practices
Abilities:
· Read, comprehend, and follow written procedures
· Respond calmly in situations of conflict and stress
· Adapt to changes in daily work
· Problem solve in a timely manner
Skills:
· Effective with organization, management of time and attention to detail
· Effective communication with staff and guests
