Job Overview:
La Rosa Landscape is seeking a skilled Landscape Technician to join our professional team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for landscape installation or comprehensive maintenance, creating and preserving beautiful outdoor environments for our residential and commercial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation Duties from your Foreman:
- Execute landscape design plans with precision and attention to detail
- Install hardscaping elements including patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Plant trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals according to design specifications
- Construct and install garden beds, water features, and landscape lighting
- Prepare site grounds, including grading, soil preparation, and site leveling
- Install and repair irrigation systems
Maintenance Duties from your Foreman:
- Perform comprehensive landscape maintenance for various property types
- Conduct regular lawn care including mowing, edging, and trimming
- Prune trees and shrubs to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
- Manage weed control and apply fertilizers and treatments
- Maintain irrigation systems through regular checks and repairs
- Perform seasonal clean-up, including spring and fall landscape preparations
- Diagnose and address plant health issues
- Maintain landscaping equipment and tools
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of professional landscape installation and maintenance experience
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Pesticide application certification preferred
- Proficiency in landscape construction and horticultural practices
- Strong understanding of plant species, soil conditions, and landscape design principles
Technical Skills:
- Expert in landscape installation techniques
- Proficient with landscaping and gardening equipment
- Knowledge of irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Understanding of local plant varieties and climate considerations
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Capable of working in various weather conditions
- Requires frequent physical labor, including bending, lifting, and standing
- Stamina for full-day outdoor work
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work
- Exposure to various weather conditions
- Occasional overtime and weekend work
- Travel between job sites in the Cedarburg and surrounding areas
