What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biology Student Lab Prep Teaching Assistant (TA3) W’25 DENT103 Intro to Dentistry Lab position at La Sierra University?
Position Summary
In larger or complex laboratory courses, the Laboratory Preparation Teaching Assistant (TA3) helps the instructor with preparation, set-up, restock, and take-down / clean-up of laboratory classes. This also includes proper cleaning of lab ware and returning to the designated storage areas in the lab, lab prep areas or stockroom. TA3 applicants should have taken and passed the course they would prep for with a grade “B” or higher.
The course instructor is the direct supervisor, and the person who makes the final hire decision.
The time required may vary depending on both the course and the design and execution of each week’s lab activities. Size of enrollment may also affect the amount of time needed. Because of the diverse nature of different courses and their labs, and the varied schedule that may be associated with practical lab exams, a frank and open discussion with the instructor may provide a more accurate estimation of hours needed to perform as TA3 over the progression of the quarter.
- Must be a La Sierra University student currently enrolled in the Winter 2025 quarter
- Must be able to start the week of January 13
- Must have taken DENT103 and passed with a grade of B or higher
