La Fina Terra is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to direct the most efficient and cost -effective operations for our warehouses. In this exciting role you will supervise a large team and oversee inventory, manage raw materials and manage the budget and capital equipment.
Requirements
- Supervises a team of hourly warehouse workers, providing training, guidance and taking
- Enforces safety procedures by ensuring they are followed by all staff.
- Oversees and fully engage in floor activities delivering good work practices.
- Ensures staff always maintains all warehousing and staging areas in a clean and organized manner
- Hires, trains and provides feedback.
- Executes LTF performance management and corrective action
- Develops team members to move to the next level of performance and position
- Resolve performance issues with team members as required
- Manage raw material receipt & finished goods shipments, and movement between all LTF locations, to ensure materials are properly tracked and in the right place at the right time
- Audit inbound and outbound trailer inspection forms and ensure that the staff is completing them accurately as well as all other receiving and shipping activities as per the receiving and shipping SOP's
- Uses the detailed demand plan to determine inventory movement requirements
- Works with production planning and operational teams to solve materials issues
- Ensures all relevant SOPs are routinely followed, and keeps all procedural documents updated and communicated
- Audit pick list accuracy and ensure that staff is accurately logging Pick list inventory being delivered to and returned from production at the quantity and lot level
- Oversees inventory control process to ensure accuracy of records
- Ensures inventory is in correct back flush bins, partial close, back flush update, and final close completed maintaining inventory accuracy and traceability
- Reconcile inventory variances to ensure proper transactions are conducted
- Oversee conducting year end physical inventory counts, reconciling with Ross records
- Manages inventory process to ensure all procedures are effectively followed and that all materials and finished goods are accounted for
- Participates in system upgrades and ensures team is appropriately trained
- Assist in establishing team metrics and performance measures to conduct periodic evaluative exercises of team performance
- Assists Warehouse Manager in managing budget and capital equipment Projects for physical site and warehouse equipment Ensures warehouse operations and contents are secure by monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by monitoring and inspecting racking, doors, Material handling equipment and issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Assists warehouse manager in achieving financial objectives by participation in and management of annual budget

- Able to produce documentations related to work instruction, SOP's and inter-departmental procedures
Background Requirements
Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years' experience leading warehouse teams is required, a commensurate combination of education and experience may substitute. Background working for an organization that operates in the "fresh food" industry is very helpful. Must have strong computer skills to manage and instruct on ERP and bar-coding and RF software and MS proficiency. Must have proven ability to effectively supervise an hourly workforce. Complete familiarity with GMPs and sound warehouse practices is required. Previous experience overseeing inventory management and control is required. Demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement ideas to enhance warehouse operations is highly desirable. Ability to handle multiple projects at once which requires mechanical inclination and hands on project, ability to operate various type of MHE. Must have very strong negotiation skills, with the ability to influence 3rd party vendors and service providers. Some Spanish is helpful. Must demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills in identifying process and administrative improvements. The ability to appropriately push back is essential to success in this role.
