Job Summary
">The Staff Development Coordinator provides orientation and in-service education for facility employees, oversees infection control measures, and ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines and quality assurance data. This role requires a current license as a Registered Nurse and experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred.
">Duties and Responsibilities

- Develops specific teaching plans and programs to cover training needs for all roles on a regular basis ">
- Works with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care is held to the highest standard ">
- Designs systems and approves actions to prevent/control and monitor reports of infections and/or potential infections among residents and staff ">
- Learns needs and designs in-service and continuing ed programs based on quality assurance data to meet needs and regulatory guidelines ">
Requirements

- Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse ">
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required ">
- Background/training in infection control is preferred ">
- Current CPR certificate desired ">
