Job Responsibilities
The Staff Development Coordinator provides, plans, coordinates, and manages orientation and in-service education for facility employees. The coordinator also oversees infection prevention efforts and designs systems to prevent/control and monitor reports of infections among residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and implementing in-service and continuing ed programs based on quality assurance data
- Developing and evaluating annual training plans
- Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care and compliance with facility policies
Requirements
- Must hold a current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required. Background/training in infection control is preferred.
- Current CPR certificate desired
