The Staff Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in providing and managing orientation and in-service education for staff within a vibrant senior living community. This position includes responsibilities for designing training programs, overseeing infection control measures, and ensuring that quality care standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing training programs to meet quality assurance data and regulatory guidelines
- Developing and implementing annual training plans
- Creating specific teaching plans and programs to cover training needs for all roles on a regular basis
- Ensuring quality care is held to the highest standard and all facility policies and procedures are carried out by every staff member
Requirements:
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required; background/training in infection control is preferred
- Current CPR certificate desired
