Job Summary:
We are seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant to join our team for the evening shift. This role requires a skilled phlebotomy professional who can assist with mobile specimen collection from nursing homes and patient residences when scheduled and perform lab accessioning and data entry duties when not in the field.
Key Responsibilities: Mobile Phlebotomy (As Scheduled):
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection efficiently and professionally.
- Travel to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and patient homes for specimen collection.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of samples following lab protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all mobile collections.
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety procedures.
Lab Assistance & Accessioning (When No Mobile Collections):
- Accurately enter patient and specimen data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Verify patient records, test requisitions, and specimen labeling for accuracy.
- Assist with sample processing and preparation for testing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab workspace.
- Communicate with healthcare providers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) license (Required).
- Minimum Experience in Phlebotomy).
- Strong experience in data entry, sample accessioning, and lab procedures. Comfortable working independently during evening hours.

25 lbs.*Preferred Qualifications:*
- Experience working with nursing home and homebound patients.
- Familiarity with LIS software and medical billing codes. (schylab CGM)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Bilingual skills (a plus but not required).
