Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Blood Collection Specialist to join our team at a Patient Service Center in St Clair Shores, MI. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform complex specimen collections, and represent the face of our company.
Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and other types of testing
- Enter patient information into our database accurately and efficiently
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain accurate records of patient and specimen information
- Provide superior customer service to patients
- Perform administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred
- Prior experience as a phlebotomist in an outpatient setting required
- Experience processing specimens also required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
